Tinubu: Hope of 1993 renewed, says Oluwo

The Osun traditional ruler, Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has described the newly sworn-in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a renewed hope of 1993, adding he has the blueprint to fix the economy.

The Osun monarch made this disclosure on Monday in a congratulatory message to President Tinubu on his inauguration as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Oba Akanbi urged all the citizens including traditional rulers, stakeholders, politicians, opinion and religious leaders to cooperate with the new president in the interest of Nigeria and her people.

The Osun monarch also stated that those hurdles that stood in his way will strengthen his administration and favour all Nigerians.

“I want to congratulate all Nigerians most especially the new President, His Excellency, President Ahmed Tinubu and those who trust in the greatness of this country.

“I’m optimistic about the hope, a renewed one. Of all the preceding governments of our dear nation, President Ahmed Tinubu is the most prepared. He has the key to our economy, education, security, social and health challenges. The hope of 1993 has been renewed.

“I call on all patriots- traditional rulers, politicians, religious leaders, opinion leaders etc to rally round the president. The best expected from every reasonable Nigerian is our support. Let’s rally round him to get the best out of our system.”

While noting that those hurdles that stood in his way will strengthen his administration and favour all Nigerians, Oluwoto called on aggrieved politicians to maintain peace just as he urged the new president to extend the olive branch to his adversaries.

On dividends of democracy for all Nigerians, he said Tinubu has prepared for the job and also has knowledge of Nigeria’s challenges.
