Plateau CAN denies endorsing gov candidate

The Christian Association of Nigeria, Plateau State chapter, has debunked the reports that it has endorsed governorship candidate for the forthcoming governoship and state House of Assembly elections in March.

The CAN chairman of the chapter, Rev. Fr. Polycarp Lubo, made this know while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Jos on Sunday, urging that Plateau electorates should come out and massively vote for the candidates of their of choice in forthcoming governoship and the state House of Assembly that will take place two weeks after the presidential National Assembly elections.

He said, “Concerning the governorship and the state assembly elections, be enthusiastic to come and vote en-masse the candidate of your choice in the interest of Plateau.

“Vote candidates who are God-fearing; have integrity and are accountable; vote men and women of good character and who have track records and are passionate about Plateau.”

The cleric who commended the Plateau people for taking up their civic responsibility in the just concluded presidential election, encouraged those whose candidates not give and but turn out vote for their choice aspirants in the governorship election.

While praying that the will of God should prevail in the elections, he urged the electorates to shun vilonece no matter the outcome of the elections, adding, they should not take laws into their hands.
