Niger monarch turbans 17 village heads

The Etsu Nupe and Chairman of Niger Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar has turbaned 17 new village heads, charging them to prioritize security of the people in the state.

While calling on the new community leaders to work in ensuring peace, justice and equity to all, Etsu Nupe pointed out that traditional rulers had significant roles to play in promoting peace and justice as a way of complementing governments at all levels.

The monarch thanked the residents for living in harmony with one another urging them to sustain the peaceful co-existence among the people as peace is priceless and a basic ingredient for development.

The new heads include those of Kashi Koko, Alhaji Mohammed Kudu; of Somaji, Alhaji Musa Ndace; of KoloDzuru, Mal Ibrahim Katamba and of Etson, Abubakar Alhassan.

Others are Zhiluko, Alhaji Umaru Adamu; of Kpatagi, Alhaji Mohammed Kudu; of Kagowogi, Zubairu Umaru; of Emiwoshi, Ibrahim Zubairu and of Dagba, Aliyu Goyi amongst others.

The village head of Somaji, Alhaji Musa Ndace while showing gratitude to the new responsibility and honor bestowed on them, promised that they would not disappoint the Etsu Nupe, Bida Emirate and Niger State in the discharge of their responsibilities.

He also promised that they would do everything possible to strengthen the development of their areas, Kin Nupe, Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.
