The founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has suspended his nephew, Deysman Oyakhilome, over “gross misconduct”.

Although the details of the allegations were not disclosed, Pastor Chris announced the suspension in a video circulating online.

According to Pastor Chris, Deysman has been stripped of his roles as the president of Loveworld Next and Loveworld Innovations as well as all other official roles.

The cleric also placed his nephew under spiritual rehabilitation, adding that the suspension takes effect immediately.

“The president of Loveworld Nex and Loveworld Innovations is hereby removed as president of Loveworld Next and Loveworld Innovations and also suspended from all official roles for acts of gross misconduct. He no longer handles any of that and I’m putting him under spiritual rehabilitation, He has to go through a spiritual rehabilitation programme from now, with immediate effect,” Pastor Chris said.

Meanwhile, rumour has it that Deysman was suspended for allegedly associating with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A flier circulating on social media revealed that Daysman was appointed the Global Ambassador for the former Lagos governor’s support organisation.

The flier that had the photographs of Tinubu, Daysman, and two others had the following texts written on it, “Ceremony for conferment of appointment to Dr. Daysman Oyakhilome Woghiren as Global Youth Ambassador for Bola Tinubu Support Organisation.”

While there has been no official confirmation of the appointment from Tinubu’s camp and Daysman or confirmation that his suspension was tied to the alleged affiliation with the former Lagos governor, social media users gave mixed reactions to the development.

One user identified as Cossly Cossly, questioned the decision to suspend Daysman by saying, “So if he has associated himself with Peter Obi he wouldn’t have sacked him???”

Another user Stanley Uju Robinson however believes that Pastor Chris was right to suspend Daysman. He said, “Good for him. Anything Apc touches is finished.”

Nnaemeka Okeke added, “As e dey hot. No too much story. Spiritual rehabilitation will do the magic. Next!”

However, Aliyu Gele Magaji felt Daysman has a right to political affiliation. He asked, “So for house of God person no get choice again? We are watching the movie.”

This is just as Dele Aina said, “I don’t get this right, wrong party or should not partake in politics… Bcos If we refuse to partake, we shall end up being ruled by our inferiors.”

Meanwhile, Abudu Adebayo, knocked the Facebooker who posted the video alongside the banner, Jack Obinyan, by telling him to “Always give the right information. He(Pastor Chris) didn’t mention political ambitions. Misconduct and financial”
