Buhari hands Ooni, Olu of Warri national honours

The president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Tuesday conferred the Ooni of Ife HRM Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II and the Olu of Warri HRM Ogiame Atuwatse III national awards.

The National Award Ceremony took place on Tuesday, October 11 in Abuja.

The first-class monarchs; the Olu of Warri and Ooni of Ife, received the Honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).

The event was created to honour noteworthy Nigerians who have made a name for themselves in many fields. They were recognized for their contributions to the country and their roles as ambassadors for the country both at home and abroad.

Among those awarded, national honours are Senate President Ahmed Lawan, State Chief of Protocol Amb. Lawal Kazaure, EbonyLife CEO Mo Abudu, Special Adviser Media & Publicity Mr Femi Adesina, SA Presidential Matters Sabiu Tunde and Imam Abdullahi Abubakar (Imam who saved 300 Christians in Plateau State).
