A South African Pastor, Jay Israel, has publicly apologized to the founder of Christ Mercyland Delivery Ministry, in Warri, Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin.

It was gathered that the apology came after several months of social media attacks and criticisms against the Warri-based billionaire prophet.

Jay Israel who is known as a detractor of many Nigerian religious leaders, flew into Nigeria to seek forgiveness from the cleric.

According viral video, Jay Israel was seen kneeling before Prophet Fufeyin and his congregation, asking for forgiveness and renouncing his past criticisms of the philanthropist Prophet.

“I came to Nigeria, here in Mercy City, Warri to apologise to my father, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, for all the things I have said against him in the past,” Jay Israel said in the video.

“I am sorry for any harm I may have caused him and his ministry. I have come to make peace and ask for his forgiveness.”

However, the philanthropic cleric accepted Jay Israel’s apology and asked all forms of attacks and criticisms among religious leaders to stop.

“I forgive you, my son,” Fufeyin said, adding “Let us all come together and work for the betterment of humanity. Let us not be divided by our differences but united by our common goal of spreading love and peace.”

The development has been described by many as a sign of humility and a step towards reconciliation among leaders of different religious beliefs.

It was also seen as a lesson for all to always learn how to forgive and tolerant one another in order to achieve unity in diversity.
