Hajj commission mourns ex-AGF Bola Ajibola

The Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan has condoled the family of former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation and founder of the Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, late Prince Abdul-Jabbar Bola Ajibola over death.

He commended his immense contribution to the propagation of Islam, saying his knowledge will forever be remembered and missed.

According Daily Post, Hassan, in a statement signed on behalf of the management and staff of NAHCON and made available to journalists by the Deputy Director, Information and Publications, Alhaji Mousa Ubandawaki, commiserated with the family of the deceased on the passage of the patriarch.

“His death is not only a loss to the family but to the people of Ogun state, the entire Muslim Umma and Nigeria as a whole. As an elder statesman, jurist and a trail- blazer, his indelible mark will be very difficult to fill.

“The late judge of the International Court of Justice, ICJ, Hague, Netherlands, is not only a teacher, but also a mentor and source of inspiration to many. His death leaves a heartache no one can heal.

“However, I take solace in the fact that those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday.

“His contribution to the propagation of Islam and knowledge will be forever remembered and missed. Words indeed cannot fully express my gratitude but my prayer is that his soul finds peace and comfort in Aljanat,” the chairman stated.
