Gospel filmmaker and actor, Joshua Mike-Bamiloye also known as Jaymikee, has said that it is essential for Christians to filter what they consume in the media because it has a big impact on their beliefs, values, and actions.
Taking to his official Twitter account on Monday evening, the son of the renowned minister, Mike Bamiloye, admonished fellow believers to guard their hearts and minds which includes being discerning about what they allow into their lives through entertainment.
He asserted that many movies, TV shows, and online videos, promote values and lifestyles that are contrary to biblical principles.
In his words; “Tv shows of today can have you cheering for armed rubbers, loving vampires, admiring scam artists, praising demons, and imitating witches and wizards etc.”
He believes that If Christians are exposed to such content without discernment, it can desensitize them to sin and weaken their faith.
He finally advised; “Christian soldier, Filter your content intake, strengthen your mind with God’s word, guard your heart.”
