Nigerian gospel musician, Osinachi Joseph Egbu, popularly known as Sinach, has been appointed a worldwide ambassador by the Commonwealth of Dominica.

The Commonwealth of Dominica’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, signed the letter, which Janet Charles, the country’s acting high commissioner to the UK, delivered.

The post was established, according to the Prime Minister, to rebrand and reposition Dominica as a leading tourist and investment destination.

Skerrit said, “Given your international reach with a following of over 1.8 million and having demography listeners and followership cutting across over 100 countries, your assignment will be to assist in the promotion of the Commonwealth of Dominican’s national interest in various fields and more specifically to use your global influence to promote the Commonwealth of Dominica as an attractive destination for tourism and investment.”

With its sustainable eco-lodges, resorts, and villas, the Commonwealth of Dominica, often known as the “Nature Isle of the Caribbean,” is attracting travelers from all over the world. The Caribbean island offers stunning hiking routes, quiet lagoons, and world-class diving.

The government of Dominica has been supporting tourism industry through its promotion of sustainable tourism, which is another well-known aspect of the island.

As part of the idea of responsible tourism, the government informs tourists about the value of preserving natural resources as they enjoy the untainted beauty.

Sinach is one of Africa’s most popular gospel artist.

She is the first African gospel performer to win Song of the Year at the Dove Awards, a competition for the best in world gospel music.
