Prayers, compromise, solution to marriage conflicts, says Dapo Abiodun

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has admonished couples to always find a common ground as that would help resolve most of their differences.

The governor gave this advice during the marriage thanksgiving service for Anu and Dami Ogunbiyi, children of the Chairman, Governing Council of Gateway Polytechnic, Saapade, held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ipara-Remo.

The Guardian reported that he said that the couple must always find how to reach a compromise on issues, especially, in prayers whenever they hold divergent opinions.

He said, “For the amount of investment that your parents have made on you and giving you all the exposure that they didn’t have, the likelihood that you will agree all the time is very slim and the reason is very simple because both of you are thinking.

“You are expected to find a common ground when your opinion differs, and once you understand that you are not having differences because you are not smart, but because you are actually smart, your union will endure.

“We appreciate that you may not agree all the times, but you must always find how to agree in prayers. It is very important. Whatever issues or challenges that may be in front of you, you need to come together and hold each other in prayers.”
