Owo attack: Lagos worship centres beef up security

The Catholic Diocese of Ondo has planned a mass burial for the victims of the terrorist attack at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, on June 5.

This was disclosed in a pamphlet seen by Religion Nigeria. 

According to the pamphlet, the mass funeral which is to begin at 9am is going to hold at Otapete, Emure Road.

Religion Nigeria had earlier reported the attack on the Church situated at Owa-Luwa Street, in the Owo Local Government Area was linked to the Islamic State in West Africa Province by the Federal Government.

The attack which happened while the church worshippers congregated claimed the lives of 40 persons with scores injured, the state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, confirmed.
