Mrs Amarachi Ume, the twin sister of the late Osinachi Nwachukwu, has described the late gospel singer’s marriage to Peter Nwachukwu as sheer manipulation.

Ume said that the family tried to rescue her from a manipulative marriage to no avail.

Religion Nigeria had reported that the late singer was committed to mother earth on Saturday amidst tears at Amakpoke Umuaku Isuochi in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

Reading her biography, Amarachi, whose husband constantly wiped tears from her eyes during the occasion said, “Osinachi Nwachukwu got hooked into marriage with Peter Nwachukwu, which was consummated on the 31st of August, 2008.

“The marriage was sheer manipulation. This denied her peace, joy, care, and almost the good things of life through the domestic maltreatment by the so-called husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu.

“Her death occurred on the 8th of April, 2022, and is still under police investigation due to the alleged domestic violence against her by Peter Nwachukwu.

“Even before her death, all efforts were made to pull Osinachi out, but she believed that Peter would change”.

Amarachi and his brother, Joseph Eze refused to speak to The PUNCH afterwards.

However, the mother, Madam Ezinne Caroline Madu described the demise of her first child as sorrowful.

“Osinachi, your death is grief, sorrow, and pains. You have died to bring many good fruits and healing of wounds to your generation,” she said. She however refused to comment further on the issue because it was a case pending in the court.

Meanwhile, the certificate of incorporation of Osinachi’s foundation was presented by the member representing Isukwuato/Umunnechi at the House of Representatives, Nkeiru Onyejeocha, said it was hard to believe that Osinachi was dead adding, “Unfortunately, she had to pass through what she passed through before she died. She is God’s own daughter and now singing for the angels and for her family”.

She urged people to use Osinachi’s death to reconnect to God and urged her children, and siblings to look up to God.
