Lagos police probe killing of Ogun chief, wife
The Lagos State Police Command have begun probe the gruesome murder of a couple identified as Engineer Femi Egbeoluwa and his wife in the Allen Avenue area of the state.
It was gathered that the couple were killed between late last Friday night and early Saturday by unknown gunmen at their residence located at 1, Adefolu Drive, Allen Avenue area of Lagos.
It was also said that the couple’s househelp who was also attacked by yet-to-be-identified killers was brutally injured and left unconscious. She has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
A police source who preferred anonymity revealed that ” The man is a chief from Ilaro in Ogun State .”
He added that ” “We got the report on Saturday. The man and his wife were assassinated, while their house was also injured.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Benjamin Hundeyin noted that they have launched an investigation into that matter adding that no suspect had been arrested in connection with the incident at the time of filing this report.
Hundeyin said ” Investigation is ongoing. Policemen have visited the scene. The house help was found unconscious but she is responding to treatment now in the hospital
The case, however, has been transferred to the homicide section of the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba. SCID,Panti. No suspect yet.
