A traditional title holder in Zaria has been arrested by Kaduna State police for reportedly sodomizing a 14-year-old boy.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, this was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muhammadu Jalige, said in Zaria, Kaduna State, on Wednesday.
According to him,the suspect would be prosecuted at the conclusion of investigation.
The victim’s elder brother,Malam Hamza Zubairu, stated that the incident occurred on December 9 in Zaria’s Kwarbai Area.
According to Zubairu, the suspect, a neighbor of the victim’s parents, was well-liked in the community.
He went on to say that on the day of the crime, the suspect sent the victim into his room to get some money, but he followed the adolescent in and barred the door.
Following that, the title holder pulled a blade and threatened to kill the youngster if he raised an alert about what he was about to do to him.
He claimed that the youngster got traumatized and was unable to tell anyone what had happened until he summoned the courage to inform his aunt.
“It was the aunt that reported the case to the police at the Zaria City Divisional Police Headquarters,’’ Zubairu said.
