Abducted Imo Catholic sisters regain freedom

A prominent traditional ruler in Imo State, Eze Jewel Ndenkwo, has been abducted by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

According to The PUNCH, the monarch, a Chief Executive Officer of a series of businesses including Udekings Nigeria Limited, was kidnapped in front of one of his companies in Owerri, the state capital.

The victim who is the traditional ruler of Isiala Umudi Autonomous community in the Nkwerre Local Government Area of the state was abducted around 7 pm on Friday at the high breed area of Owerri.

A source close to him said that the traditional ruler was kidnapped in front of his office at Tetlow in Owerri.

He said that the abductors of the king had yet to establish contact with his family.

He said, “HRH Eze Jewel Ndenkwo of Udekings Electronics was kidnapped about 7pm Friday in front of his office at the ever busy Tetlow Road in Owerri.”

The police spokesperson, Micheal Abattam, had yet to respond to an inquiry concerning the kidnap incident.
