Gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan pays tribute to wife three years after death

Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Dunsi Oyekan, on Wednesday, paid a tribute to his late wife, Adedoyin, three years after her demise.

Doyin, who died on the 18th of May 2019, had two children (male and female) for the gospel powerhouse whose music has been a blessing to many Nigerians.

Nicknamed ‘The Eagle’, Dunsi shared photographs of himself and Doyin with his 714 thousand Instagram followers.

“Three years today… GOD IS GOOD! Oh, you loved and served God in me. Yes, you did! Keep resting Bybes,” ‘The Outpouring’ convener captioned the post.

Fellow gospel singers including Nikky Laoye, Tolu Ijogun, Nosa, Tosin Bee, Greatman Takit, Folabi Nuel, and Lawrence De Covenant, led the long list of tributes that poured into the post’s comment section.

They were joined by popular Nigerian singers and entertainers, Timi Dakolo, renowned keyboardist Wole Oni who is the first African artist signed by Yamaha, and popular comedian – Woli Arole, amongst others.

Oyekan’s music ministry is one of the biggest in Nigeria and his maiden Revival Crusade dubbed ‘The Outporing’ shut down the Sapphire Open Ground, Lekki Foreshore, Lekki Phase 1 Lagos, on Sunday, November 7, 2021, with thousands of Christians from diverse denominations present at the venue.

“The call is to rekindle the fire in us, just as God commanded the priests to have a continual fire upon the altar in Leviticus 6:8-13. We know that our God is a consuming fire, and He burns within the New Testament Christians” Dunsi said about the programme.

The event featured gospel music ministers, Nathaniel Bassey, Elijah Oyelade, Victoria Orenze, Chingtok Ishaku, Bukola Bekes and Kunle Ajayi.

Prominent men of God such as Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, Poju Oyemade, Jerry Eze, Daniel Olawande, and Michael Orokpo, headlined the show.

The second edition of The Outpouring will hold on Sunday, May 22, at the Ilorin Stadium, in Kwara State capital, Ilorin.
