The Federal Government has officially given the go-ahead for Muslim female students to wear the hijab.

DAILY POST reported that this was stated in a circular dated February 1, 2023, and it was signed by Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education,Andrew David Adejo, .

All 112 Federal Unity Colleges and Federal Science and Technical Colleges in the nation received the circular. Find photo below.

According to the circular, the ministry has permitted the wearing of corporate/cape size hijabs as part of the school uniform by female Muslim students at all Federal Unity Colleges and Federal Science and Technical Colleges, the circular states.

He clarified that any of the authorized school uniforms may be worn with a corporate/cape-size hijab by pupils at the two colleges.

Adejo cautioned, however, that no student should ever be forced to wear the corporate/cape size hijab on her uniform against her will.
