Ablaze: Christian ministers hold 2023 conference in Benin

Christian leaders across the world will convene in Benin City for the maiden edition of a special programme dubbed “Ablaze”.

The two-day power packed program will span Wednesday, 15, and Thursday, the 16 of March.

The immediate past National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and General Superintendent of the Gospel Light International Ministries, also known as New Covenant Gospel Church, Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, made this know in Benin City.

According to Tribune, Rev. Omobude,in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Deacon Raphael Okhiria, noted that Ablaze, which is an international, interdenominational Christian conference, would be attended by church ministers and church workers from all over the world.

It was gathered that some of the speakers at the conference include the National President of the PFN, Bishop Wale Oke, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Bishop Dr. Kingsley Enakirehi and the host, Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude.

The International Headquarters of New Covenant Gospel Church, 1, Edokpolor Close, off First Federal Road, New Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria will host the much anticipated event free of charge.

Commenting on the event, the former PFN National President, said the conference ‘is designed to equip and strategically position church ministers and workers for effective ministry in contemporary times.

He said, “the international and nondenominational conference is aimed at raising a critical mass of strategic leaders both for the church and the building of an egalitarian society.

“I have a strong leading of the Holy Spirit to also share my experiences garnered over the years. On March 14, I will be 77 years and have spent over 51 years of it in active ministry. I served one of God’s Generals, Archbishop Benson Idahosa before the founding of Gospel Light International Ministries (New Covenant Gospel Church), which I have been superintendent over for more than 35 years. I believe there is a lot one can pass on to the younger generation.

“The Scriptures rightly admonish in 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” This is what the Ablaze Conference is designed to accomplish to a great extent.

“Ablaze is a divinely-inspired platform to strengthen the hands of ministers, share the grace of God in ministry and equip this generation for greater impact in ministry.

“Ablaze is intended for Archbishops, Bishops, Apostles, Pastors, Evangelists, Missionaries and all Church workers.

“The conference does not have any denominational bias. Ministers from all blocs of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) are expected to be in attendance.

“Ablaze is a platform where outstanding leaders in the ministry shall pour out their hearts on their experiences, challenges and how they overcame, and also on values that were cardinal precursors to their evident success in the ministry the Lord has entrusted to them.

“I am strongly persuaded the Lord will make definite deposits in your life that will launch you into higher levels in the divine assignment He has committed to your trust and indeed in your career and endeavours”, Omobude added.
